On Feb 17th Kentucky Fried Chicken had to close more than half of its locations in the UK because of a shortage of their main ingredient. KFC UK switched food distributors and the new partner was not able to.... distribute food.
The crisis management PR campaign that KFC UK implemented is the perfect blend of mea culpa and humor while communicating important facts about future operations. Andrew Bloch, founder of Frank PR, called it a masterclass. He's right.
