Implementing A Rebrand
From time to time companies and organizations need to rebrand. The reasons vary: new focus, new ownership, new leadership, or just to be new.
I came across an organization who is rebranding as leadership passes from one generation to the other. This is a natural time to update everything.
My focus is not the rebrand itself, but the implemtation of the rebrand. I noticed they introduced the new logo on graphics they posted to social platforms but neglected to update their social avatars. I also noticed the use of old and new logos concurrently.
When implementing a rebrand be sure to have a plan and checklist. Update the branding guide and notify all teams of the go-live dates. This will help keep your messaging consistent in the midst of change.
